Hello there!

MaD is an acronym for Mother and Daughter. We are, as the name implies, a mother and daughter duo who love the arts and crafts. We are passionate about handcrafting items, be it of yarn, paper or paint.

So who are we?

The Mother - Leopoldina

Mum finds almost no reason not to recycle anything. An integral part of our packing process is making sure we reduce, recycle or reuse material around us. Mum's the one who stitches our cloth bags which are used to store our products. She is currently enjoying her golden years in a village tucked amid lush green fields in Goa. And, she is the one who also taught me to crochet.

The Daughter - Jolene

After almost a decade in advertising, it was time to focus on my own brand. I love to paint, and make things. I picked up crochet again after almost 17 years and decided this was what I was going to do. My experiments with amigurumi, crochet and pattern designing have been much loved by all, especially my son.

Everything you see here at our online studio is made by hand. We love what we do. For us quality trumps quantity, hence we make sure we work with premium yarn and safe materials. We not only have our own patterns for sale, but also make use of other artists' designs to create crocheted items for sale on a small scale.
